The Magnum was sold as the 300C wagon, and apparently could be had with a diesel engine. This weird parallel universe, known as “Europe and Australia ” apparently really liked them.

I love Magnums, thanks to my dad. Part of his dream garage includes the most odd muscle cars such as the Impala SS from ‘96 (not really odd), then there’s the Magnum SRT8 or even an R/T, a 2003 Mercury Marauder, a mid-’90s Taurus SHO, and some more.

Whats funny is the magnum and 300 front clips are swappable real easily.
300 turbo diesel wagon would have been the

Too bad FCA didn’t make a Lancia Thema Estate to go along with the 300-based sedan.

Well, they liked them in a kind of “sold in their tens” kind of way!

“really liked them” is a bit of an overstatement. Being priced in the luxury or almost luxury category while offering an interiour and general fit and finish, I probably don’t have to tell you much about, plus coming from a brand that is relatively unknown in Europe, made them a hard sell. You could see them seldomly in the ‘00s but they seem to have all disappeared by now. Nobody who wants to keep them around after the original leases went out.

Quite many of the 300Cs that were sold in Finland were diesel models. There are currently 92 used ones availa ble and 45 of these are with a diesel engine. And 23 out of these are wagons. My friend had a diesel wagon but he has sold it away .
When Chrysler pulled away from European markets we were briefly offered a Lancia version of these. These didn’t come as wagons and nearly all of these are with a diesel engine.

I think it looks killer. However a magnum front clips on a 300 looks horrendous.

Funny, we feel the same way about German cars. Never own one which doesn’t have a warranty.

I do believe the interior is slightly less horrible than the Magnum interior.
